Pesciolino Bob Surfboards

“Pesciolino” is the twin fin, a mental attitude, my most beloved shape.

It is fast, easy to turn and extremely all-round. A quiver killer that can be surfed in any kind of spot, from the beach break to the point

I shaped my first Pesciolino fish in 2016 after seeing the famous Asher Pacey’s video where he rides a turquoise twin fin of reduced dimensions. I think it was approximately a 5’ fish, a skaty and incredibly fast object.

In 2017, I met Thomas Bexon in Bali and showed him my first Pesciolino. He was surprised by the shape, and without even trying it, he pointed out that the board was highly planing and worked well in waves up to shoulder. For this reason, he advised me to add the bump, something he had recently started doing himself on Ryan Burch's advice. Thus, my Pesciolino became short, wide and flat and with a very deep single to double concave and a pronounced kick tail close to a slight bump which allow it to have those reactivity and drive that are uncommon for most of the fishes. It is really capable of changing the perception of keel’s performance. Bob "Pesciolino" is the new generation fish, not the twin fin from 20 years ago. It has to be chosen really short to get a skaty and reactive surf.

For all these years, I've worked on this template in a short and performance-oriented interpretation.

Starting from 2024, I also offer a larger version with a more relaxed approach, for those who don't seek the reduced size but rather the right buoyancy for their level. This version has a slightly varied distribution: a flat deck and a lightly beveled edge to bring the edge inward from the apex and consequently reduce lift from the larger rail size.
